Traffic was a pain in the neck. I've noticed the past year or so that I really don't enjoy driving all that much. Today was one of those days. Seems like I had to be on my toes constantly watching for other drivers, construction, detours, and everything in general. I was tired and I'm sure that contributed to the tension I felt. I was very glad to pull back into my garage.
Nothing on my agenda until our class picnic next Saturday. I intend to stay close to home, for the most part. I'm hoping I can get my universal remote programmed so I can play my VCR and DVD. I don't actually use either of them as much as I do the Roku and Netflix but still...I do want to have them available.
I just may have to break down and take a short nap this afternoon. Am definitely dragging a bit. I started a book by Katharine Graham called Personal History. It's her autobiography and won the Pulitzer Prize. I've started it before and set it down but this time I hope to stick with it. It's an interesting read.
Here's a picture that was in the Leader this week showing the old house on The Egg & I Road where Betty McDonald lived in the 30's. I just love old pictures like this.
And here's the latest of Jake who can now sit in a grocery cart.
