Can't say that I'm terribly excited about having another round of high temperatures. Am happy, however, that it's not supposed to last that long. I'll deal with it. Was planning on driving into PT tomorrow to work on a couple of grave sites but I want to leave early and if Sue isn't up for early, I may have to postpone until another day. No hurry really. Just kind of wanted to get it done. We'll see how it goes. I do know I'd prefer to have help working on them as I can't do quite as much as I could in my younger days. I know I could get the job finished; it would just take me longer than normal.
I just watered my outside flowers, refilled the bird baths, and put fresh nectar in the hummingbird feeder. Also made a quick run to the neighborhood store to mail off a copy of Town Kid that got sold on Ebay. I forget to look most of the time but Hunter uses my account more than I do so he keeps me informed if I've made a sale. Picked up a Match 4 ticket while I was there too. They cost $2 while my usual play ticket of Hit 5 is only a buck. Sometimes I play Match 4 but not all that much. I should have played it July 29 'cause that's when the numbers I often choose came up. That particular day, two people won and got $10,000 a piece instead of the $20,000 prize. Had I been playing, we all would have got around $6600. Still..... who's gonna turn their nose up at that?! Not me! I didn't pick those numbers today. Figured it was unlikely they'd come that soon.
Since I made a Waldorf Salad yesterday, my dinner is all prepared for tonight. Have a leftover rib too. I stayed up till 11:30 last night, hooked on watching episodes of Nurse Jackie on Showtime. Love that show! There are seasons available so I'll subscribe to Showtime for a while and then maybe switch back to Netflix.
Outside of transcribing a few more of my mother's letters today, all I have planned is to work on my quilt squares. I got four (all of the same pattern) cut out yesterday and will attempt my first 4-square wall hanging which I'll set aside for a Christmas gift. Think I'll also curl up in the recliner later and get back to my book as it's getting pretty good -- Zoo by James Patterson.
And that's about it for this Tuesday in August. Stay cool.
