Movies

I bought some neat containers at the Dollar Store to put my cookies in when I deliver in PT.  Then I remembered I had a whole box of Xmas tins in the garage and some of them are really neat.  They're kind of small, though, so maybe I'll split up my various cookies into smaller packages so I can give to more people.

Hunter dropped in to pick up his mail.  He has ebay deliver some of this stuff here so it doesn't sit outside.  Jenni invited me to dinner tonight, while they were here so yippee! I don't have to cook. She made homemade noodle soup.

I always seem to drag about 3 in the afternoon -- especially if I get up at 6 a.m.  Interesting dreams last night.  Ants were invading in one of them,  Not giant ants -- just a multitude in some place I was trying to clean up.  My dream book said if the ants were bothersome or repugnant to me, I may be feeling the need for some variety and change of pace.

I have decided to spend Christmas at Mary & Andy's place this year. I'll drive to my cousin, Cindy's i Gig Harbor and leave my car there. Mary will come pick me up 'cause I'm a weenie baby about entering freeways by myself.  As long as she doesn't mind the drive, I'm fine with getting to Gig Harbor on my own.

Am reading a book by Jane Smiley called 'A thousand Acres.' It won the Pulitzer Prize and even though I'm only up to page 43, I'm liking it.  I've discovered that if I don't stick with a book longer than a half hour, I'm completely lost when I try to start it again the next day.  Problem is, reading often puts me to sleep.  Even if I do it during the day.  I wonder how I break that habit?  I used to read a heck of a lot more than I do now -- yet I continue to check books out of the library and I have a ton on my book shelves. (most I've never read)  Maybe that will be one of my new year resolutions this year -- to stick with a book and read more.  My attention span is pretty lame.  I suppose the computer is partly to blame.

Sitting here watching Ellen give screaming audience members a whole lot of gifts.  I'm happy for them but yet I'm not.  They should distribute the prizes and draw  fifty names out of a hat for people at home.  Yeah, that's jealousy talking.

I looked over the Golden Globe nominations and made a list of what each movie is about and which ones I want to see.

There were only 3 movies  that I would consider walking into a movie house for.  Boyhood, Wild, and Still Alice. The rest I'll wait until they appear at Redbox, Netflix, or Amazon Prime.

Some of the TV shows I'd really like to see but can't afford HBO or Sho-Time. I still decided who I wanted to win, although I suppose that doesn't make a lot of sense if I've never watched.
