First Day of Spring

I've been watching a single tulip on my back porch that is close to blooming but didn't quite make it for the first day of spring.  My little trees are getting closer every day with the plum tree a tad ahead.

When the red red robin comes bob bob bobbing along.....

I took Sammy out for a short walk this morning and took some pics along the street.  Boring stuff but it's what I do.  Here's the beginning of  scotch broom comin' our way. Have to look close but it's there. Won't be long and the entire block will be yellow.

Here's some photos I saw in the Leader recently that I thought were especially good.

The Memorial Field Grandstand is getting a facelift.

Here's Les Walden, who I marched with at graduation a million years ago.

And here's a picture I saw on Facebook that I thought was cute.
I should be able to finish up my jigsaw puzzle today. Isn't that exciting?  Let's see....what else can I bore you with....

Am watching Bosch on Amazon Prime and enjoying it a lot. Three more episodes and I'll be done with Season 1.

I happened to mention to my daughter, Mary, that I was having these weird headaches the last couple of weeks and I'm not usually bothered with headaches.  She asked if I was drinking any diet soda and I thought...hmm....I did buy a six pack of Lipton Diet White Tea w/raspberry to try and I've been drinking it all along.  It was like a light bulb went off although I'd never seemed to have a problem with aspartame before.  I looked at the ingredients on the bottle and man!  No wonder I haven't felt good. No more of that stuff!  Back to water only.

My cousin in Canby, Ore called me yesterday and we talked for 25 minutes about relatives.  He's sending me a 10-pound photo album full of photos and I AM EXCITED!  He suggested we meet in Centralia which is about halfway but I had to tell him I wasn't comfortable with driving too far from home.  Would have been nice to meet him, though.  I probably could have asked Joyce Lee as she seems to take off all the time.

I should have more interesting pictures to share later this weekend as I have two things to attend tomorrow -- Catie's craft fair and Maddie's track meet.  Well, guess I'll tootle on over to that puzzle for a while. Gotta pick up Hunter at 2:45 as he's still on crutches and Jenni has to work a little later today.  Poor kid has to go to a specialist as the doctor he saw today said he's never seen a kneecap quite so loose.
