Sorting pictures

What a job!  I stuck with it for hours but it will be a while before I'm finished.  Hopefully, this month but who knows.  I'll just pretend it's "my job."  Which it kind of is.  I did post a few pictures on Facebook, just for the heck of it.  Always takes me a while to get the hang of Facebook posting. I made a few albums  but then opted to just post a handful as well.

Ran a quick errand to report a discrepancy at the printers regarding the number of books I ordered. Much to my surprise, she erupted like a crazy woman.  Face got red, eyes were fierce, she banged her hand down on the counter, called me a liar, and went on and on about how she was doing me a favor giving me a low price and how she'd never do business with me again!  Hmmm...I knew the lady was crabby. She often showed little customer service skills, and I'm betting I'm not the first person she's attacked like that.

I'm not the confrontational type but when I'm treated that poorly, I respond in kind. We had a regular little screaming match going on. The more I tried to reason with her, the louder and nastier she became.
Silly fool.  Doesn't she realize she can get further with honey than vinegar?  Apparently not!  Once she realized I wasn't backing down, she threw my money at me and told me not to come back.  I told her not to worry as she'd seen the last of my business.

Not much else to report around here.  The kids go to the other grandma's house on Wednesdays so it's just me and Sammy hanging out.  I've been on the computer most of the day sorting picture files and deleting a ton of repeats.  Need to quit now as I'm getting very tired.  Should have quit two hours ago but I just kept clicking away.

Meeting a few Port Townsend ladies at the casino tomorrow. Looking forward to that as it's been a while.  I just paid bills online and I'm kind of in a blue mood.  I've come to the conclusion that I really can't cancel cable because it's the only entertainment I have outside of occupying myself with
reading and crafts.  Just wish you got a little more for your money.  I'll always resent the fact that I watch only a small percent of the available channels but am forced to pay for the entire package.   If it was a fair world, you'd pay JUST for the stations you want.  Yeah, I know...whoever said the world was fair.

My other gripe (for today anyhow) is the amount you have to dish out for medical coverage.  Besides what is automatically deducted from my social security check, my AARP supplemental is up to $177 a month.  That's a big chunk out of my budget!  And that doesn't even cover drugs, eyes, dental, and any other number of  things.   I have a friend (who has more health issues than I do) and she pays a lot more, struggling every single month to make ends meet.

It's enough to drive you to drink....but who can afford to drink anymore?!  Not that I'm all that interested in drinking.  I would like to gamble more than I do, however; and eat fancier foods than I usually fix.  Well, I guess I'd better sign off.  You can see where I'm going.....

I'll be better tomorrow.  Especially after I hit a jackpot at the slots.   I can feel a win in my bones.
Here's a picture of the folks taken at Mary's wedding four years ago and another of me and John with Mary and Sue. Probably late 60's.  Oh, to be that thin again.
